We participated in the Radical Health Festival and the Finnish Health Data Hackathon organized by HL7 FHIR Finland
Helsinki, Finland, 19-21 January 2026 – This week, our team members Gokce Banu Laleci Erturkmen and Mustafa Yuksel have joined the Radical Health Festival and the Finnish Health Data Hackathon organized by HL7 FHIR Finland.
During the hackathon, we shared our hands-on experience in implementing computable clinical guidelines and clinical decision support services on top of an HL7 FHIR-based interoperability layer powered by onFHIR.
We presented how care flows can be created and executed via KronIQ, enabling the automation of evidence-based clinical guidelines to support the creation of personalized care plans.
We also shared our experience in developing SMART applications using CDS Hooks and SMART on FHIR standards, and presented the STAGE SMART apps we have developed within the scope of the STAGE project.
One of the highlights for us was the opportunity to collaboratively contribute to the xShare project Care Plan FHIR Implementation Guide, together with Morten Bruun-Rasmussen, Catherine Chronaki, Joonatan Vuorinen, Giorgio Cangioli, and Ivan Drnasin. This work represents an important step towards recognizing personalized care plans as a priority health data category within the European Health Data Space.
Finally, we presented how personalized care plans are already being created and deployed in Türkiye based on national clinical guidelines through KronIQ.
It was a truly inspiring experience, full of collaboration, shared learning, and concrete progress towards interoperable and personalized care.
