SRDC’s Ignifyr Engine featured in the DataTools4Heart video series on Key Exploitable Results

What happens to the results of a research project once the funding period ends? For the DataTools4Heart project, the answer lies in a clear plan for exploitation, reuse and long-term sustainability. To share this plan, the project has launched a new video series of short excerpts from its workshop on the Key Exploitable Results (KERs). In the workshop, consortium partners presented the tools, datasets and frameworks developed within the project and discussed how they can be taken up beyond its lifetime. The second excerpt of the series features A. Anil Sinaci from SRDC,…Read more

SRDC introduces the STAGE project’s digital health tools for personalised prevention

The STAGE project has released a new video in its series on the project’s key areas, this time focusing on Digital Health Tools: Personalised Prevention. In the video, Gokce Banu Laleci Erturkmen, R&D Director at SRDC, and María Bulgheroni, R&D Director at Ab.Acus, introduce the intelligent digital health tools being developed within the project and explain how they support personalised prevention for healthy ageing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHK3ZTTBEfs STAGE (Stay Healthy Through Ageing) aims to show that a life-course approach can prevent accelerated ageing, which happens when multiple chronic conditions build up over time. As part…Read more

SRDC attended the annual consortium meeting of the STAGE project in Frascati, Italy

Frascati, Italy, 21–23 April 2026 – The annual consortium meeting of the STAGE project took place in Frascati, Italy. Partners spent three days reviewing progress across the work packages, sharing results and planning the next phase of the project. The meeting opened with an icebreaker inspired by Kenkäpeli, a Finnish wedding tradition, in which participants answered a series of questions by holding up a shoe. It was a fun nod to the project’s Finnish coordinator. The programme also included the AgeingDeal conference, which brought the consortium together with the wider healthy ageing community.…Read more

We had a fantastic time at the 2025 IHE Connectathon for xShare EHDS Plugathon in Vienna, Austria!

It was a great opportunity to exchange expertise with vendors from across Europe while testing our tools’ interoperability for: 🔹International Patient Summary exchange 🔹xShare download & one-time sharing via SMART Health Cards 🔹Both for consuming and sharing EHR data using our SMART web applications. 🤝 We truly enjoyed the hands-on collaboration, tackling real-time challenges together, and seeing the power of standards like HL7 FHIR, SMART-on-FHIR and EHRxF in action. Thanks to the Gazelle platform, the peer-to-peer testings were smooth and easy to follow. 🎤 We also had the chance to attend insightful presentations on healthcare…Read more
Ignifyr Features: Terminology Service

Ignifyr Features: Terminology Service

In the complex landscape of healthcare data, ensuring that different systems can communicate with each other is a significant challenge. Medical terminologies, with their vast and varied vocabularies, often become a barrier to data exchange. This is where terminology services become essential. In this blog post, we will explore the powerful terminology service feature within the Ignifyr tool, demonstrating how it simplifies the handling of complex terminologies and code conversions in Electronic Health Record (EHR) ecosystems. The Challenge of Medical Terminologies EHR systems are rich with clinical information, but this data is often…Read more

Ignifyr Integration: REDCap

Ignifyr Integration: REDCap

REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) is one of the most widely used platforms for collecting healthcare data in research and clinical studies. It is utilized by universities, hospitals, and other institutions worldwide. Since the adoption of FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), developed by HL7 (Health Level Seven International), a modern standard for electronic healthcare data exchange, is rapidly growing across the healthcare ecosystem and interoperability becomes essential, it is inevitable for organizations using REDCap to find out ways to transform their data into FHIR format. This is where the Ignifyr REDCap Integration comes in — a solution that…Read more
Ignifyr Features: Schema Inferring

Ignifyr Features: Schema Inferring

Defining schemas in Ignifyr is simple for most datasets. However, when working with complex schema, the process can become more time-consuming. You may need to go through each column, carefully defining its structure and repeatedly testing your mappings to ensure they work as expected with real data. This define–test–adjust cycle can extend the setup time in those more demanding scenarios. But what if there were a smarter way? Imagine simply providing your raw data — whether from a database or file system — and having Ignifyr automatically analyze it and generate the corresponding…Read more
